STAR LAB JOINS THE INDUSTRIAL INTERNET CONSORTIUM

Star Lab, an industry leader in embedded security solutions for complex systems, announced today that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), the global, member-supported organization that promotes the accelerated growth of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

The IIC coordinates ecosystem initiatives to securely connect, control and integrate assets and systems of assets with people, processes and data using common architectures, interoperability and open standards to deliver transformational business and societal outcomes across industries and public infrastructure. This plays well with Star Lab’s business of secure IoT initiatives across a wide range of industries and use cases.

Irby Thompson, Star Lab’s President/CEO, noted that “joining the Industrial Internet Consortium was an easy decision given that our technology is already slated for inclusion in the IIC’s Security Claims Evaluation Testbed. We look forward to working with consortium members and potential end users to demonstrate highly-effective security solutions that seamlessly integrate into real world applications.”

“Ensuring the security of interoperable devices is critical for most government and commercial companies today,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director, Industrial Internet Consortium. “Star Lab is a welcome addition to the IIC as we work together on solutions for the industrial Internet.”

Star Lab is an innovative software security provider dedicated to researching, developing, testing, and delivering embedded security solutions for both commercial and government customers.
